Installation Steps
Join Workshop & Check Prerequisites
Enter your name in the popup to join. Your progress will be tracked in real-time and visible to the host in the sidebar.
Click each card above to confirm. Your name appears in the top-right corner when joined.
Install uv (Python Package Runner)
uv runs the LinkedIn MCP server without manual setup. Skip if uv --version works.
curl -LsSf https://astral.sh/uv/install.sh | sh
powershell -c "irm https://astral.sh/uv/install.ps1 | iex"
Install LinkedIn MCP Server
Clone the MCP server repository to any directory on your system. Remember this path — you'll need it in Step 3.
https://github.com/stickerdaniel/linkedin-mcp-server
cd ~/Desktop git clone https://github.com/stickerdaniel/linkedin-mcp-server.git
cd $env:USERPROFILE\Desktop git clone https://github.com/stickerdaniel/linkedin-mcp-server.git
Note your installation path (e.g., C:\Users\YourName\Desktop\linkedin-mcp-server). You'll use it in the next step.
Connect MCP Server to Claude
Configure Claude to use your locally installed MCP server. Replace the path with where you cloned it in Step 2.
{
"mcpServers": {
"linkedin": {
"command": "uv",
"args": [
"--directory",
"/Users/YourName/Desktop/linkedin-mcp-server",
"run",
"linkedin-mcp-server"
]
}
}
}

}
}
}
Important: Replace YourName with your actual username, and update the path if you installed elsewhere.
claude mcp add linkedin -- uv --directory ~/Desktop/linkedin-mcp-server run linkedin-mcp-server
claude mcp add linkedin -- uv --directory $env:USERPROFILE\Desktop\linkedin-mcp-server run linkedin-mcp-server
Save config and restart Claude completely (quit and reopen). LinkedIn login will happen automatically when Claude first uses the MCP tools.
Import the Agent's Skills
- Open Settings → Capabilities, enable "Code execution"
- Under Skills, click Upload skill
- Choose zips from
skills-zips/folder - Repeat for all 10 zips, ensure each is toggled on
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && cp -r plugin/linkedin-apply-assistant/skills/* ~/.claude/skills/
New-Item -ItemType Directory -Force $HOME\.claude\skills Copy-Item -Recurse plugin\linkedin-apply-assistant\skills\* $HOME\.claude\skills\
Test Your Setup
Restart Claude, verify LinkedIn tools appear, then try:
Search LinkedIn jobs for Laravel developer in Ahmedabad, posted in the last week
Then try: /analyze-resume, /find-jobs, /match-jobs, /prepare-application
The agent never auto-submits — it only prepares applications for review.
Lab: Build Your Own /find-jobs Skill
- Create
skills/find-jobs/SKILL.md - Steps: parse keywords, search, rank, show table
- Rule: don't apply automatically
- Test on a real search
Troubleshooting
uv or uvx not found
Close and reopen terminal after installing uv.
LinkedIn login popup not appearing
The login popup appears when Claude first uses the LinkedIn tools. Make sure you've configured the MCP server in Claude and restarted it.
Skill upload fails
Upload one at a time. Check SKILL.md exists and "Code execution" is on.
No LinkedIn tools in Claude
Check JSON config, save it, restart Claude fully.
Errors after it worked
Session expired. Claude will prompt for login again when you use LinkedIn tools.
